Sarat Chandra Deevi is an experienced Technical Architect with over 11 years of relevant experience in building scalable systems. Currently working as a Principal Engineer at Arcesium, Sarat has a demonstrated history of working with various technologies like Python, Java, Salesforce, Azure, SQL, Big Data, NoSQL, Spring, Integration, Mobile, Backend, and Web. Sarat's expertise lies in designing and implementing high volume data ingestion systems. At his previous company, JDA Software, he was responsible for the design and implementation of the Rm Ingestion Service, which is a system that ingests huge volumes of client data. The ingestion process contains multiple steps like staging data, performing extensive business validations, error reporting, and publishing valid data for downstream services. The system uses Google BigQuery at its core for performing the various steps, and Google Dataflow (Apache Beam) is used for transformation of huge volumes of data across different Google infrastructure components like BigQuery, Cloud Storage (Blob Storage), and Cloud Pub/Sub (Messaging Queue). Sarat has also worked on the design and implementation of the Rm Model Service, which is a service split into two main components – training and prediction. The service performs training and stores trained data models related to assortments of a retail system. It supports prediction of scores (likeliness of sales in future) using the trained data models for products in an assortment. The system is written in Python as the data science modules work with pandas data frames for running the data science algorithms. Sarat holds a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He also has a Master of Technology (MTech) Dual degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. In addition, he has a Class XII degree from the Board of Intermediate Education and a Class X degree from the Central Board of Secondary Education.
